Accepted a position as assistant professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice at Clemson University beginning Fall 2024. 

Sarah's research rests in the intersection of health and healthcare, sexuality and gender, and social psychology. Her works to understand patient-provider intersection and how these relationships shape health outcomes for marginalized populations, particularly regarding the experiences of LGBTQ+ people and women. Her dissertation explores the role of the patient-provider interaction plays in healthcare utilization and how compulsory heterosexuality and heteronormativity shape healthcare experiences for lesbians. This research is being completed under the supervision of Dr. Jody Clay-Warner.
