Faculty and students affiliated with LaSSI habitually conduct social psychological research in the following main areas: (1) status and power processes in interaction, (2) emotions and social identies, (3) justice and legitimation processes, (4) social networks. Our research has close ties with similar sociological traditions including work in Affect Control Theory and group processes more generally. For lists of research grants, presentations, and scholarly works obtained and/or produced by LaSSI scholars over the years, see tabs in the menu to the right.
