The Laboratory for the Study of Social Interaction (LaSSI) is a shared research space for the study of basic social processes. Most research focuses on socio-emotional, status and power, justice and injustice, and individual and group identity processes. LaSSI utilizes state of the art equipment for collection of real-time cognitive, vocal, nonverbal, and physiological data from multiple interactants. The facilities, located on the 4th floor and basement levels of Baldwin Hall, consist of several individual participant rooms, a groups room, two control rooms, and several coding spaces. Multiple studies often run simultaneously, and data gathered in LaSSI is in use in research the world over.
